A Relaxing Stag Activity in Limerick, Athlone & Carrick on Shannon

Let’s face it, surfing waves and going over drops might not be quite what the doctor ordered for the Saturday of your stag weekend. In our experience, there are always more sore heads than expected after a “few quiet pints” on the Friday night and that’s part of the reason why we offer easy going flatwater kayaking  trips as well as our adrenaline fuelled whitewater excursions.

Depending on the part of the country you’re in, you’ll paddle along a calm stretch of river, lake or canal on your very own sit on top kayak. Even if you’re fresh as a daisy on the day, our flatwater trips are a nice change of pace and a great opportunity to chill out, catch up with your fellow stags and soak up the stunning scenery along the way.

Rest assured we’ll still throw in plenty of games and challenges to get everyone laughing and interacting and to make sure nobody gets too relaxed and dozes off.

All safety gear and equipment is provided. No previous experience is required and there is no need to be able to swim.

Our flatwater trips take place on the Shannon River in Carrick on Shannon, Killaloe and Limerick, and on the Inny River in Ballymahon. This means that Limerick, Athlone & Carrick on Shannon Stag Parties are perfectly located to enjoy a nice lazy paddle with us.

Our Other Stag Party Activities

"Great afternoon paddleboarding, kayaking, archery and zorbballing with friends.

The Get West team kept everyone well entertained with group games in the water and tips on improving. Between falling in and actually eventually succeeding at the exercises everyone had great craic. Kudos Get West."

"Brilliant fun!

Well worth a visit! Group of ten of us went on the limerick city historical kayak tour. The guys working here are lovely, gave us lots of info on the city and made us play hilarious games. We all jumped off the side of the river after our trip! It was great fun! Dying to see get wests pictures on facebook! Its well worth the money!"

"Not just a Limerick City Tour...

GREAT craic and loads of fun, thanks! I went on a Tuesday night with a big group and we had a great time. Loads of fun, games, and no-messing kayaking with a great group of instructors led by Paul. Thoroughly recommend to anyone of any level!"
